Ueda Contributes to Major Research Initiatives in Japan

Dr. Jun Ueda is collaborating with researchers at Kobe University’s Graduate School of Medicine and Graduate School of Engineering on two major Japanese government-funded research initiatives. He serves as a Foreign Expert on MedLeap GP-ONE, a JST and Cabinet Office of Japan program (JPY 250M, 2025–2029) focused on advancing innovative medical technologies. He also serves as a Co-Investigator on the Future Mobility Co-Creation Program, a NEDO-funded initiative (JPY 2.5B, starting in 2026) that brings together Kobe University, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, and other partners to develop next-generation mobility systems. These projects further strengthen the research partnership between Georgia Tech and Kobe University and advance international collaboration in robotics, healthcare, and cyber-physical systems.
